The Election Commission has released the official voter turnout figures after the deadline for submitting counting forms for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) ended. Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Balrampur, Kanpur Nagar, and Meerut saw the largest reductions in voter turnout.
According to the Commission’s data, Lucknow had the largest decline of 30.05%, followed by Ghaziabad (28.83%), Balrampur (25.98%), Kanpur Nagar (25.50%), and Meerut (24.66%). The number of voters whose names were deleted from the state’s voter list is 28.875 million.
The Commission has clarified the reasons for the deletions. After deleting the names, the Election Commission will publish the raw voter list on December 31, and objections and claims will be taken.

Lucknow had the highest percentage at 30.05%, followed by Ghaziabad at 28.83%, Balrampur at 25.98%, Kanpur Nagar at 25.50%, Meerut at 24.66%, Prayagraj at 24.64%, Gautam Buddha Nagar at 23.98%, Agra at 23.25%, Hapur at 22.30%, Shahjahanpur at 21.76%, Kannauj at 21.57%, Bareilly at 20.99%, Farrukhabad at 20.81%, Bahraich at 20.44%, Badaun at 20.39%, Siddharthnagar at 20.33%, and Sambhal at 20.29%.
