The ceremony was set to take place in the PPganj area with guests gathered, but at the last minute, the groom and his family vanished. “She” had arrived at the engagement!
Akhilesh Kumar, a resident of Raghunathpur in PPganj, had arranged his sister’s wedding with Saurabh Chauhan from Siar village. Saurabh works for the Postal Department. The engagement ceremony was scheduled for Friday, February 13, at a wedding hall. After hours of waiting, when the groom’s side failed to arrive, Saurabh’s number was called. Saurabh’s girlfriend answered, tearfully stating, “Saurabh is mine. We’ve been together for six years and I’ve even had three abortions for him. Please don’t let him marry anyone else.” She also sent private chats and photos on WhatsApp as evidence.
The groom had taken ₹3 lakh in cash and jewellery.
The girl’s side claims the wedding was agreed upon for ₹6 lakh in cash, a gold chain and a ring. ₹3 lakh had already been paid and extensive engagement preparations had been made. However, the groom’s infidelity and double standards shattered everything.

Death threats in the Panchayat
When the secret was revealed, a Panchayat was held at the marriage hall. The boy admitted his love affair, but when the girl’s family demanded their money and engagement expenses back, his family allegedly threatened to kill them.
