District Women’s Hospital Special Investigation Officer Jai Kumar has confirmed a serious allegation against an employee. A three-member investigation team has been formed to examine the matter. The woman, who visited the Gorakhpur District Women’s Hospital for an ultrasound, claims she was harassed, abused and threatened in the examination room. She has now lodged a complaint with the Kotwali police.
The incident occurred around 9 a.m. on 11 December 2025. The woman had come to the hospital for medical treatment and was scheduled for an ultrasound. It’s alleged that upon her arrival, the operator Abhimanyu Gupta (son of Fulchand Gupta, a resident of Gajpur Bazaar in Gagaha police station) began making inappropriate advances. The complaint alleges Gupta asked her to remove her clothes and harassed her further. When she resisted, he abused her and threatened to kill her. Despite her complaints to others, no action was taken.
Seeking justice, the victim went to the police station. She has requested the police to register a case against Gupta and take strict action. The police are investigating the matter and will take appropriate action if Gupta is found guilty.

Kotwali Police Station in-charge Chhatrapal Singh confirmed that a case has been immediately registered based on the complaint and the woman’s statement. The police team is also seeking assistance from other employees to further investigate the allegations. They will take action based on their findings.
