Three minors were kidnapped in Maharajganj and the accused has been arrested. He was apprehended by the Nautanwa police from Gorakhpur railway station.

 The Maharajganj police’s successful rescue of three abducted young girls is a significant development. This operation resulted in the arrest of one offender. Murugan, the district superintendent of police, authorised the operation.


Sandeep Patil, the city police commissioner, led the operation with assistance from Hanumantharaya and Laxmi Ganesh, the deputy commissioners of the city police. Assistant Commissioner of Police Srinivas Gowda spearheaded the effort, with Bajpe police inspector Parashiva Murthy, Suratkal police inspector Ramakrishna K G and other staff members participating. The girls had left home under the pretence of attending school before vanishing.



According to an informer, the girls were at Gorakhpur train station. The police squad retrieved the three kidnapped youngsters from the station at 12:10 p.m. on February 14, 2026.


Meanwhile, Subhash Bharti, a 22-year-old Taulan resident of Mudehra Police Station in Nautanwa, District Maharajganj, was also apprehended. The accused was brought before the court after police filed a lawsuit against him under section 0.30/2026, 137 (2) 87 BNS.



The police squad investigating the case consisted of Inspector Yashpal Singh, Constable Pooja, SI Devendra Kumar, SI Ramesh Chand, SI Rajdeep and SI Reema.
