In Gorakhpur, power supply will be disrupted for five hours on Tuesday due to road widening and line shifting work. The electricity department has decided to shut down power from the affected sub-stations to ensure a safe and smooth completion of the work.

The affected areas include those connected to the 11KV Ram Janki Nagar feeder of Power Substation Rapti Nagar, 11KV Basantpur and 11KV Hindi Bazar feeders of Power Substation Laldiggi, 11KV East feeder of Power Substation Industrial Estate, 11KV Tiwaripur feeder of Power Substation Surajkund and Power Substation Durgabari.
Maintenance and technical work will be carried out during the power outage to improve the supply system in the future. The power will be restored once the work is complete.
The electricity department has appealed to consumers to complete necessary work in advance and make alternative arrangements to avoid inconvenience.
